Buy the car, and the pool buys the company. Which is roughly how it works in real life too. Nobody walks in wanting to fund Tesla. They want a car that's fine, that charges, that everyone else already has. The funding is a side effect of the convenience.

Here it's that same trade with the wrapper taken off. The joke and the thing it's making fun of sit on opposite sides of one pool. You can't bid for one without bidding for the other, and the more people find the car funny, the more of the company the car has to hold.
